Dosuni [Tosuni: The Birth of Happiness]
Film Synopsis
Tosun falls out with her family and decides to move out to live on her own. Although she develops a relationship with a gentleman, Tosun learns to fend for herself through her entrepreneurial abilities and enjoys her new found sense of independence.
Adapted from a popular 1960s Korean radio soap opera, the film defied traditional gender roles and Tosun became the realistic representative of the confident onscreen Korean woman.
